Finn has been coming of age representing Manchester’s underground dance music scene over the last four years. Still in his early twenties, he’s been working up a head of steam as a producer, DJ, NTS radio host and label head, attracting attention much further afield of the North-West.
Finn’s debut single ‘Keep Calling’ was an instant hit; racking up plays from DJs such as Kode9, Eclair Fifi and Ikonika, whilst subsequent releases ‘Knock Knock’ and ‘Late at Night’ demonstrated his breadth of influences, drawing from classic Chicago House, Ghettotech, Grime and beyond (he also co-produced the smash single ‘Final Warning’ for UK MC Jammz).
It’s Finn’s latest EP ‘Sometimes The Going Gets a Little Tough’ that has really seen him soar, however. Released through Local Action in late 2017, the EP’s title track racked up 2,000,000+ Spotify plays in just two months and gathered heavy support from Skream, Martin Garrix, Jackmaster, Jasper James, Annie Mac, Diplo, Monki, TQD and more; cementing its status as a worldwide bitter-sweet anthem. It’s since been licensed to legendary house label Defected Records, so expect it to be even less escapable in summer 2018.
Finn is also one of the best young DJs on the circuit mashing the best of UK and US club styles in his club sets, monthly NTS shows and his own self-released B2B series; each instalment sees him go record for record with a DJ he admires: past episodes include UNiiQU3, Teki Latex, Murlo, Mumdance, Amy Becker and Eclair Fifi.
